Holistic Beauty Approach

"Our natural range is based on a holistic approach to skincare."

Holistic skin care is one that reflects care for our skin knowing that the  products we use are beneficial to our wellbeing and that their manufacturing is respectful of the precious world we live in. Azurlis™ is the result of our commitment to manufacturing a skin care range of the highest quality, with ethics and respect for life, responsibility for the environment and the desire to provide the best service and support to our customers.

In essence our objective is to encourage users to take a few minutes each day, while applying the products, to recognise how special they are and how good they feel. Why? Because  if the soul feels great… the body tags along!

Our Approach

At Azurlis™ we believe that a combination of scientific and ancient principles is the best way of creating skin care. We must be mindful of the personal care products we use daily and of the food we choose to eat because, just as good ingredients contribute to our wellbeing, hazardous chemicals can silently accumulate in our body with unknown long-term consequences as well as having a negative effect on the environment.

All the ingredients in our products are selected for their beneficial properties and energy, as well as for their generally acceptable problem-free safety and toxicity profiles. The products are enhanced by lapis lazuli and Reiki energy. This is not so much a benefit for the skin but rather to the person using the products, as Reiki is a form of energy healing, being calming and relaxing.

Our products are not tested on animals. We also encourage  recycling of our packaging and containers. Our boxes made of recycled paper/board, and as much as possible we use glass bottles and jars. So, holistic skin care is not just about skin care, but rather about caring for our well-being while being respectful of everything around us, in this fragile and unique planet.

Skin Care Treatments over the Ages

Skin care treatments have been available since the 4th millennium BC in China and the Middle East, with ancient Egyptians developing recipes that included ingredients such as cucumber extracts, olive oil, moringa oil, plant resins and milk.

In India, an ancient holistic system designated Ayurveda, was developed to facilitate prolongation of life, in a healthy and balanced manner. The term “ayurveda” derives from Sanskrit and can be translated as the “science of life” or “the knowledge of life”. Today’s skin care approach is more tailored to delivering solutions to compensate for the stress modern life imposes.

In contrast to ancient ways to skin care, modern approaches are based on the scientific knowledge that underpins the physiology and biochemistry of the skin. In addition, the formulations developed have to meet high standards of efficacy, skin compatibility and aesthetic appeal. However this often leads to an over-reliance on synthetic products which are not always as good for us as we might think.
